The Naval Enlisted Reserve - Oklahoma, is a Non-Profit organization (501-3c, tax # available upon request), located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Its members are active reserve military, retired military, family members, and volunteers who give of their time and efforts in maintaining and preserving its mission. The Mission of NERA - Oklahoma is to promote honor and patriotism to this great nation, to honor the veterans of the past and present that have made our freedom more meaningful, and to remember the extreme sacrifices that these brave men and women have made, including those serving stateside and abroad. NERA - Oklahoma has programs established to help military families in time of need (within the Oklahoma area). Donations are received from Giant Flag presentations, corporate and private sponsorships, and fundraising events. All of which are overseen by a Board of Directors, who decide where best to distribute the funds to better meet the needs and goals of the mission. NERA - Oklahoma also has a scholarship program in place for our future leaders within the Oklahoma Area. These young men and women are nominated for an opportunity to receive a scholarship based on their achievements in high school and their financial need. The Board of Directors selects those individuals they believe to be most deserving of a scholarship.
